MINI LEGACIES · MINIATURE AS PHOTOGRAPH
A legacy you can hold.
Every family has a face it can no longer visit and a house it can no longer walk into. Mini Legacies turns your photographs into miniatures small enough to hold in your hand.

The first frames held a face.
The oldest framed images we have are Roman Egyptian mummy portraits, painted around 2,000 years ago. A particular person's face, set in wood, kept close and carried into whatever came next. The frame did not begin as decoration. It began as a way to hold someone.
Room 2 · The Word
Miniature never meant small.
It comes from the Latin minium, the red lead used to mark the opening letters of hand-copied books. To miniate was to paint in red. Smallness was a coincidence of the format. Intimacy was the point.
Room 3
So we make them to be held.
Wall 1
The Secret Keepsake
A portrait on the front. Something hidden behind it. A lock of hair, a folded note, a second image. The Georgians called them lover's eyes: one eye, recognisable only to the person who already knows.
Sell the secret, not the likeness.
Wall 2
Miniature as Photograph
Your photograph, rebuilt in three dimensions. The house with its real paint colours. The kitchen pot. The school crest. Send a photo and we build it.
Photograph first. Build second.
Wall 3
Made as a Set
Every miniature tradition that lasted was built as a set. A published grid, a few released at a time, the gaps doing the quiet work of making you want the rest.
